We understand that when it comes to creating your baby registry you may not know where to begin, especially if this is your first baby.
Below is a list of tips that can help get you started. Keep in mind this is YOUR registry. There is no right or wrong, and creating your wishlist should be fun!
- Take a little time to think about what you really need. Focus on the essentials. You can even ask for baby wipes! Not only will this save you money, it will save you trips to the store so that you can spend your time caring for your baby.
- Check the latest recall lists.
- Include feeding essentials. Some babies will begin eating earlier than others. If your baby is an early bird, you’ll be prepared.
- Don’t include too many toys. Although it’s good to include a few, keep in mind that your baby won’t play with toys until they are about 3 months old. By then, you and your baby can go shopping for toys together!
- Don't forget to register for a few Newborn sized outfits. Your baby may not fit into a 0-3 Month size right away. And don't forget to pick out an extra-special Newborn outfit to take your baby home in!
- Register for clothes in larger sizes as well. Your baby may go through a growth spurt sooner than you'd expect and most people will tend to get you clothing in smaller sizes.
- Another good way to get started is to use our Complete Registry Checklist. This is a quick and easy way to make sure that all of the basics are covered.
